It's been a rough few days. We had a poor couple of volleyball games on Sunday, and I ended up hurting myself really badly after the second game (of six).
We played the best team of our league, and it was obvious our group was trying extra hard to be focused. We definitely didn't have a lack of effort.
At game point of the second game, I ended up throwing myself onto the ground to (not) save a ball. I landed hard on my left side rib cage... knocking the wind out of myself and putting myself into immediate pain.
However, I brushed it off and tried my best to play the rest of the night. We still had fun! But we lost 3 games and then won 3.
The next few days have been absolutely awful on my body. It's taking me at least 10-20 minutes to get out of bed in the morning, I'm downing tons of ibuprofen every day. It's been tough.. but every day it gets slightly better.
I tried to run but it ended up being terribly painful. I'm going to take it easy for awhile, not play this coming Sunday in our matchup, and try to heal up the best I can.
