A Weekend to Remember - NYC & Back

You'd think I was being incredibly lazy blogging about a weekend over a week after it happened. But last weekend I went to New York City with my sister Nola. We left around noon on Friday and got there around 4pm. We hung out, walked around and waited for Sheila to get home from work. Tired and hungry, we went to this fantastic Thai restaurant right down the street a little and filled up on yummy rice and noodle dishes before heading downtown into the city to enjoy a crisp fall evening, skateboarders in the park and seeing Times Square all lit up at night. Enjoyed a show in the window of the M&M store and made our way home after enjoying a couple drinks and nachos at Cosmic Cantina Mexican bistro bar.

Saturday we went to Central Park and laid in the sun for a couple hours, met up with Russ and walked through China Town, Little Italy (getting a delicious lunch) and shopping through a very cool part of town. We shopped, we walked, we laughed, we subwayed and we ended up in Brooklyn for more shopping before heading back to Sheila's place for mixed drinks and Greek take out food. I love Sheila's block...! We headed out to a Hookah bar down the road for a couple hours before making our way back home.

Sunday morning (late) Russ left us for his place and Sheila, Nola and I headed to Little India (Jackson Heights) in my car for Indian food and bodega shopping. We spent the rest of day taking it easy, getting supplies, hair cuts, eating and a quick nap before leaving at 4pm to get back to Rochester by 10:30. All in all a wonderful and delicious weekend.. and the food was great too!
