A week without stress

Bosses are on vacation, and I haven't been able to wake up before 9am for 4 days now. But no stress, no unresolved issues, no complaints. Work is quiet. We're humming along. The weather has turned cooler again (no fans!) and I'm sleeping easy. The weekend with Sheila was amazing. She made me do things that I wouldn't normally do, which while interesting, put me off my comfort zone. Which is great. I wouldn't have done them otherwise. But even if I moved to NYC, I don't think I could drink that much that often. These guys go out all the time and party like that. But the restaurants... amazing! I could never get bored. I don't think you could experience them all! Amazing.

My mother had a procedure done in the hospital yesterday and stayed the night overnight last night. All of us, including the aunts, visited her, and her friend Marty came up. I hung out with her from around 6pm to 9pm and my sisters were there with her all day long. The great news is it was a complete success and she feels better already. The bad news is she is tired and achy. My sisters are going to be with her for a bit until she's back up 100%. I didn't realize how nervous she was about it until we talked last night. I feel bad for not catching on sooner.

I have been listening nonstop to a new artist I found. It's quite sad. I had 4 mix tapes for the ride down to NY, and 1 of them was all of his music. It's really upbeat, happy feel-good music. Just my kind of thing. But I think it'll wear out quickly and I'll move on to something else. But he sings so high that it's hard to even pretend to sing along. But hey, it's fun trying. Some of his songs remind me of soft beautiful pieces, like 'Ave Maria' while others are clearly British Pop. I like them all, even the slow ones.

Off to lunch with the guys!

Okay, back from lunch with the guys. Jake invited me for pizza and a movie with several people tonight. Combine that with a list of errands and I have another full evening. I'm currently working on a list of the 100 things to do in Rochester for an upcoming ongoing piece for the blog which I think will be fun. If you have any ideas of "must do" things in Rochester, leave a comment and I'll add them to my list!
