Another surgery.. another pain in the neck...

Last night was entertaining, to say the least. Nola made homemade brownies (see.. this is how I get around the Baking Moratorium I had as a goal. I still haven't baked ANYTHING in over a month. But I guess that doesn't mean I can't eat. She put peanut butter in them.. MmmmmMmm.. she kept asking me "Who are you? What did you do with Luke? I don't think I like this new you..." when I told her I didn't have any food in the kitchen to snack on, bake with or open and eat out of a box.
But Nola helped me, Jake, Rach and Lindsay move the rest of Rachael's crap print-making stuff from Buffalo to Rochester. The stuff weighs 600 pounds. Literally. It's lead, all of it. Lead type from the 1800s. My god. We unpacked a huge U-Haul in a little under 5 hours (sigh). Jake and Rach fed us main street pizza from Brockport (yum) and we hung out the rest of the night staring back at the neighbors since they stared at us all evening.
This morning I had my surgery on my neck. It hurts. It sucked. At least this time I got to see what it was they took out of me. And then I wanted to throw up. Remind me not to ask to see it next time. The freakin thing was the size of a marker cap. But now my neck hurts like hell and the stitches are so tight my neck leans to the left.. so now I have a crink. Sigh.
It was weird. I had to take my shirt off for the surgery, and the doctor came in and goes "Do you work out?" I was like.. wow.. what a compliment... but then he goes "Or did you lose a lot of weight?" Ugh. I guess my horribly disfigured body is noticable.. to a skin doctor. ;) But now I get to change bandages for 10 days like a good soldier.. in a part of my body I can't see to be accurate. I can feel the headache coming on. I was so dizzy after the procedure that I almost fainted. The nurse wouldn't let me leave for a bit, but I started feeling better. I prolly shouldn't have come into work, but alas, I'm not sick per se.
I've worked for 9 days straight. I could use a day off. Soon.
