Goodbye Cindy :(

So Cindy left a voicemail after I went to bed, and I got it early this morning when I woke up at 6. She said Chris was staying over and would take her to the airport in the morning. Change of plans. Really late in the game.

So she stopped at the apartment around 8:10 and dropped off more stuff for me to get rid of, we hugged and said goodbye and they left. She's most likely on a plane right now. I miss her already.

I also realized she never wrote me a check for the $273.20 plane ticket she put on my credit card. But she left me some personal belongings that she wants me to mail, so I guess I can hold them ransom. :) Just kidding Cindy. (I'm not kidding.)

Linda and I are going to see a movie tomorrow night. She wants to see that new King Arthur movie at Movies 10. Should be good. Tonight I'm meeting Deb at the casino at 6:30. Apparently, she's going directly there from work. Hehe.

Where is Cindy?

Well, it's after 9:00 and there is no sign of Cindy anywhere. I assume she's staying here since we have to leave at 6:30 in the morning, but knowing her, she'll stay at her place to clean all night long, and then we'll leave late in the morning for Buffalo.

Tonight so far has been a little uneventful, which is nice. I've just been listening to music in my apartment. I shopped at Walmart in Chili (why don't they get more cashiers I ask myself every week) and got some glade air freshener stuff for my bathroom and livingroom. I need to clean tonight since Deb is coming over tomorrow after work.

Rainy Sunday, Slow Monday

So I just hung out Saturday night with Cindy. We got Golden Port take out and watched Kill Bill 1 and 2. Besides Cindy falling asleep several times during the 2nd movie, they were quite good! I took Cindy home, came back and ate some cold Golden Port leftovers, then went to bed.

Sunday I lounged around until around noon when Cindy called and said that she didn't want to go to Molly's picnic. I called Linda and invited her and we left around 1. It poured on the way to Seneca Falls, to the point where it was really hard to see. We got there, the sky was clear and it was a beautiful day. Linda enjoyed herself, my aunt Deb was funny as always.

Plenty of good food. Eventually people started to leave and it started to rain again. The wind picked up and blew stuff over. Linda and I left around 5 and came back to my place to watch Under the Tuscan Sun. It was a good movie, but I had to take her home before it finished.

My cat ended up using one of my plants as a litter box since I locked her in my bedroom. Linda is deathly afraid of cats so I had to put her in another room. Poor cat, she was probably really confused about what to do. So while it stunk to high heaven and she got poo on the wall, power cord, on the plant itself and in the dirt, I eventually cleaned it all up and used a 1/2 bottle of fabreze.

I left for Cindy's birthday and goodbye party at Golden Port around 8:00 and Cindy was about 30 minutes late. 10 of us ate and had a good time, even Chris Sinclair was there! We stayed until 10:00.

I came back to my place and started a loan of laundry. Cindy and Chris came by, Cindy did the dishes and 2 loads of laundry. She then washed Ashley, whom clawed Cindy's chest to bits in the process. They left and I went to bed.

Monday morning I awoke at 7 for my run but it was pouring out. Not just rain, but downpour so heavy it was hard to see out the window. So I snoozed for another hour. Work was slow. Tonight I'm running a couple of errands and just hanging out with Cindy for our last night together. Apparently her rats chewed apart one of her luggage cases so she needs to borrow mine to get to LA. Don't we all just love rats.

We'll see what tonight brings.

The hell that is freshman registration....

Thursday was almost pure hell, but a fun hell. I got into work in the morning and Garry said that I would be in ITS pretty much the entire day helping freshmen register for classes. So I went down around 9:30 and the place was packed. Freshmen even brought their own laptops to ITS so they could register in the same room as us.

Ten o'clock hit and 800+ freshmen tried to get onto the server. It slowed right down and poof, the server crashes. Panic hit the room and I hear back at the office, the phones just rang off the hook. We brought the server back online at 10:15 and it crashes again. This repeats for 5 total times. Oi. The freshmen were pissed, so weren't their parents (who many of them sat with them to register for classes).

I was even bitched out a couple times by parents. I called and got called by Nancy and Garry a dozen or so times, eating up my minutes, but hey, who needs money anyway. He told me I was gonna be there all day. So I stayed until about 2:00 and eventually made my way back to the office and hung around for awhile. I did some work and finally left. Long hard day.

Linda met me at my apartment since we were going to dinner and a movie. We decided on Unos, since I had coupons, and we also saw The Bourne Supremacy. We had a great time. Once we left, we stopped at her friends house and hung out with them. We laughed and made fun of Linda (oh so easy!) and then I dropped her and her laundry off at home and made my way back.

Friday was a bit more quiet. The day went slowly and I plugged away. Cindy came over to my apartment while I was at work and waited for my new DVD/DVR player to be delivered. It finally came around 2:00. I got out of work at 4 and came home and hooked it all up. The system looks good and I'm excited. I tested out the "pause live tv" option and a bunch of other things. The guide wouldn't work until Saturday since it has to download data overnight.

I dropped Cindy off and watched Stargate, which I taped on the DVR, when I got back.

This morning I got up at 7 and left around 7:45 toward Seneca Falls. I met my mother and sisters at my aunt's. We headed to Syracuse to see my crippled father. We finally got up there and Molly, Nola and I went to see him. He looks older, even though he's only 58/59. He's grey and very skinny. He had a higher voice than I remember, but he was very nice. The right side of his face is pretty smashed up and he's lost feeling over 75% of his body. He also can't feel his fingers.

He was in good spirits and we visited with him for an hour. We left, I dropped mom and them off at my aunt's and then I got back to Rochester. I putted around and finally got my optical cable in the mail from ebay! I hooked it up and WOAH is it an improvement on my DVDs. It's finally able to separate the 6 channels. I'm watching Stargate right now and having a ton of fun!

So much to do...

Today was a fun day of stuffing envelopes. Yay. :)

We found out that DARS hasn't been updated since May 23, 2004 so umm... yeah, that may be very very bad. We'll see how many audits are wrong.

I miss Laura already. It's nice to see her online again.

My foot still hurts really really bad. I can hardly walk on it right now. Tommorrow I will make an appointment to get my foot checked out. I can't not exercise.

My money was finally refunded for that one ebay item I bought that I hadn't heard anything from. I filed a complaint and had my money back within 2 hours. Oh well, I didn't need that DVD anyway. :)

I went to Walmart after work to get a couple needed items. I was walking down the cereal aisle when two girls were talking about the merits of bagged cereal and boxed cereal. Then they got into a discussion about how to properly use the word 'broughten' They asked outloud if that was a word and as I walked by I told them it wasn't. They prolly thought I was some weird limping freak. Heh.

I went and checked out all my food and the two people in front of me each had a million school supplies, so it took forever to check them out. Then they paid with checks, which took forever to process. Ugh, I was in a line for 25 minutes for 2 people. When I finally did get out of there I found out they double charged me AGAIN for an item.. sigh.

By the way, I love SciFi channel and the fact they provide Surround Sound for their shows.. and even some of their commercials!

Cindy went out with Kerri tonight. Hmm, I'm curious what they're doing. Cindy doesn't have any money....

My new DVD PVR player comes on Friday sometime. Hopefully they can leave it outside my door, else I'll have to come home early or something to sign for it. I don't want to wait for Monday for it!

Molly asked for my help with her essay tonight, so I gave her some advice. I got the feeling she wanted me to write it for her, something I won't do. I got out of college, no more essays for me!

I'm looking forward to tomorrow. I'm going out to Boston Market and a movie with Linda. She's leaving soon, so I want to spend as much time as I can with her before she's gone.

Long day, good night.

Verbally Accosted!

Well, maybe accosted is too strong a word.

But I was called fat while on my bike at 4:00. A kid screamed 'You're fat' out of the window of his mother's rusty beat up crap bucket by the hospital. How rude... of course I'm fat, don't they know I know?

During lunch I returned my Surround Sound system to Best Buy and bought the one I really wanted. Now I have something else to play with when I get home. I also called eCost.com and found out my item is on its way! My new DVD player is gonna rock. My optical cable is also on its way.

I was a little early leaving for lunch and a little late, but I got it all done. Man was it hot and the cat was no help. She kept jumping at me and the wires as I was wrapping them up.

Then I had a meeting at the Towne House at 3, which I didn't know about until 2:55, so I rushed and got there just in time. On the way back that kid scream that out his window as I was riding down the sidewalk.

I don't know if I should be offended or gratified that finally someone had the guts to still call me fat at my current weight. :)

Surround Sound Baby!

Last night I went and purchased a Sony Surround Sound system. I got it home and hooked it all up and while I like it, I can't get surround sound for my DVDs until my optical cable arrives. I just bought it online yesterday, so it'll be several more days.

One of the other items I bought on ebay has not been shipped yet. I bought it on the 12th. The seller's email is bouncing, and I called her phone and it was someone else's number. Ugh! So we'll see if I lose my $8 or not.

I think I'm gonna take this system back (30 day guarantee) because its cloth-based and the cat loves cloth! I'm afraid she'll destroy the speakers.

This morning my foot hurt like a mother! But I still ran my hour. I gained 7 pounds it seems over the damn weekend so I'm going back to eating like a chipmunk. This sucks so much.

This morning I read/heard an interesting news report. Apparently people in good moods have poor memory recall along with poor judgment and critical thinking skills when compared to people with a more negative mood. This explains everything!

Bad mood leads to better eyewitness report

Sydney, Australia, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- An Australian research project finds people in a negative mood give more accurate eyewitness accounts of events than those in a more positive frame of mind.

The study, to be published in the Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, offers the first assessment of the effect of mood on memory.

Researchers from the University of New South Wales used staged events in their experiments and found people who were happy at the time had somewhat unreliable memories, along with poor judgment and critical thinking skills. Negative moods -- such as sadness -- correlated with more accurate eyewitness accounts of events and better thinking and communication.

Professor Joseph Forgas wrote: "It shows that our recollection of past events are more likely to be contaminated by irrelevant information when we are in a positive mood. A positive mood is likely to trigger less careful thinking strategies."

Well, I guess I can blame my mood from now on for my bad memory!

Sheila Rocks

So we listened to the concert, ate our food and met Cindy's friend Dana. We left there eventually and went to my sister's apartment. One of the girls' fathers moved the wireless network equipment and messed it all up, so I had to set it up again. I got Molly's Windows XO working finally and set up her wireless connection. I also got her updated and I installed OpenOffice(.org) on her computer. It's a wonderful MS Office alternative.

Cindy was dead tired, for good reason, so we all napped for awhile at Molly's. We eventually left and went to Subway for dinner and watched The Terminal at a cheap theatre. I didn't have any cash and Sheila said they didn't accept credit cards so I paid a $2 fee to withdraw $20 out of the ATM. We got to the theatre and they did accept credit. Cindy also didn't have any money nor did Sheila (for Cindy) so I ended up paying for her too.

The movie was good. We sat in the backrow and it wasn't slanted much, so I saw it through a lot of heads. We left there and went to Sheila's place after getting my car. We stayed the night with Sheila.

Sheila and I went to the store in the morning to get syrup and homefries. We made breakfast and hung out for a bit. Eventually we left Binghamton for Seneca Falls at 2. We took 71 up to 90 and over to Waterloo. We got to my mom's around 4. Nola and Alex were just hanging out, so we watched a movie. Her other friends came over and we all made pasta for dinner while Cindy slept. Alex overcooked the angelhair pasta and I kept raggin on him. :)

We all went out to Knapp winery and had dessert because Nola's friend Aaron gets a discount of 33% off and he said it'd be great. So we went there, sat down at a nice outdoor patio and all ordered. It was fancy dessert, each $7. Eww, expensive stuff. But we ordered and Aaron went outback and made our food. We also got some bread. The bill came and it was $40, with $2 taken off for a discount. :( They only discounted Aaron's dish.

Nobody had money so I ended up paying for that as well. This was an expensive weekend.

Cindy and I got back to Rochester around 9 and we hung out at my place until midnight. I took her home and finally got to bed around 12:30.

This morning I ran as usual, tired as usual, but since my stove blew up on Friday (did I mention that?) I can't cook breakfast or whatever. So save on some money I'm skipping the grocery shopping this week and living on supplies. So I'm down to a minimalist eating pattern right now. Cindy also has eaten most of the good stuff that's left, so I'm down to kidney beans and ice. :)

I had another presentation this morning at the library for some deans and whatnot and it went over without a hitch. Molly called me and let me know that my father got into a horrible accident and was in the hospital. She said Aaron called her this morning all upset, trying to get info. None of us know anything so they're all freaking out.

Mom eventually calls from Syracuse to let everyone know that Dad was in an ATV accident and he hit a tree or something. He broke several vertebre and is most likely paralyzed by the neck down. He seemed in good spirits tho. I might go see him on Friday with my family, I really haven't decided yet. The accident happened on Saturday and nobody felt like telling any of his family. Nice.

I finally bought my PVR/DVD player. I can't wait for it to come. I also got a complete 4 year warranty on it so I'm all set. I'm going to buy the surround system tonight. I guess I have some big decisions to make!

Tonight should be a little more quiet. I've been on the run since last week!

Binghamton! Wooo!

So last night it was really difficult to stay awake. I missed half my tv show I like so much because I kept nodding in and out of consciousness.

This morning, Cindy and I went to Jay's diner and waited for Laura and Luke. I called them at 8 and she said they'd be there at nine. So Cindy ate some food and we waited. They got there and we ate, they treated. We said our goodbyes (I'm gonna miss her so much!).

Cindy and I left for my mother's place to pick up some stuff then off to Binghamton. We took 96 down instead of the thruway and we quickly discovered that not only is the speed limit 99% of the time 45 miles per hour but there are no road signs and our directions were complete crap.

We finally got to Binghamton and found the place (Cyber West Cafe) and Cindy met her friend, Dana, and they reunited. We're sitting on the back porch of the place now waiting for our food. I'll update later. :)

Mex-ican't

Wednesday night I went and did some browsing for surround sound systems. With some investigating, I'm getting closer.

We all went out to Mex for Kerri's birthday. Laura and Cindy were having a great time. Laura bought me a drink. I bought myself one too. We had a good time. We moved to another bar, but it was almost 11 so I left.

Thursday was another day of programming and surround sound investigating. After work I went out to best buy and circuit city. Mom, Nola and Alex came up around 7:30 and Cindy, Laura and I went with them to Golden Port and had a wonderful meal.

We came back, Cindy and Laura went and picked up Cindy's TV, and Nola, Mom and I had some Margaritas. They left, and Laura, Cindy and I hung out for awhile. Laura picked up Luke O. from the airport and she went home. I took Cindy home.

This morning, I went for my run as usual, Cindy was here when I got back. She never slept last night. She was too bored and lonely to sleep. Work was usual. I shopped some more for my system, I' m getting even closer! After work, Cindy and I went and helped Laura and Luke pack their truck. We finished around 7 and came back. I got Peligrinos, Cindy got Paeola's. I dropped her off.. she's going out dancing with Kerri tonight.

Tomorrow morning, Cindy and I are meeting Laura and Luke at Jay's Diner for breakfast before they head out. I'm gonna miss her so much!

Happy Birthday Kerri!

After work I got back to my place and Laura was standing outside my door. Cindy was still asleep on my couch. Laura, Cindy and I went to TGI Fridays. Cindy had steak, Laura had a salad with pot stickers and I had a chinese salad, which was really good. We also got some potatoe skins. Overall, I paid $14 for my meal, which seems high but okay.

We moved the rest of Cindy's stuff to her new room in GLC. We moved so much of her crap to GLC, its gonna be fun moving in back to my place in 10 days. (sarcasm) Laura went home to pack (sarcasm) (oh wait, that wasn't sarcasm... ;) )

Cindy did some laundry while I went through my entire damn apartment and cleaned top to bottom. She went back to GLC. At midnight, we went to the Distillery and had midnight Margaritas. Well, I didn't since they got the 2 for 1 deals and I didn't feel like paying $6 for a drink. I got an appetizer (half price!) and then Cindy order 2 more. At the end of the night I paid $10 which also paid for Kerri's margarita. So now I don't have any money for tonight. Hmp. (not sarcasm)

I went to bed around 1, and was too tired to go for my run in the morning. My old boss Sue met me for lunch in the Meliora. I had a really nice $6 salad (Yeah, is the price-listing getting annoying yet? I'm only doing it because I hate spending money on food.) but Sue paid for it, so all is good. We talked about our lives, her retirement (she actually wants me to apply to her job that she's vacating..), our blind and deaf animals and our families. Her husband is having surgery to remove a tumor from his head. It was great seeing her again. We're (my family) going to try and go up there in September to have dinner with her and Mike.

I sat outside on the grass with Anesa and Kelly for the rest of the lunch hour and talked about people, annoying people, and a certain coworker. I don't gossip, but its fun to listen!

I wonder what Laura and Cindy are up to right now.

My boss has offered the Department to buy me something for my laptop to thank me for volunteering it for demonstrations and whatnot. So I chose a battery, that would be nice. So now I need to pick one out.

Boring Day, Headache, Hungry

So today was long and boring. I worked on a bunch of stuff and also deployed our new website. I'm already getting compliments, which is good.

Cindy decided she didn't want to go to lunch, so I ate what I had and went to a meeting during lunch. I'm looking forward to tonight with Cindy and Laura. Hopefully we can do something fun.

My runs in the morning are making me so hungry all day long. I guess that's a good thing, but sheesh. I'm scrambling for food here.

My phone number finally ported over today, so now I'm back to my previous number. The process was a real cinch.

Taco Night

Sunday was a day of catch up, since I haven't exactly spent a lot of time keeping up with everything. I slept in and I also got my groceries for the week. Kerri, Cindy and I went to Laura's for the evening to eat tacos and watch a movie. It was a great evening, we ate a ton of food, and watched Charlie's Angels.

Monday I called in sick to work. It was weird. I called Garry's phone and left a message. At 9 I checked my email to see if he emailed everyone, but he didn't. Then Nancy emailed me about the website and so she still thought I was in today. Eeek. Eventually, Garry emailed everyone around 10.

I eventually got up and moving around 11 and created a collage of all my pictures to make a sort of reflection piece of the last 5 years of my life. It turned out great. Laura and Cindy came over after 3 and we bummed around until 7. I fell asleep on the couch, only to wake up to an awful neck ache at midnight. I migrated to the bed and battled the cat for a clear airway all night.

Tuesday morning I went for my run as usual, but I got back and Cindy was waiting outside my door. She ate breakfast with me. She's sleeping on my couch right now. We're going to go to lunch somewhere hopefully. That should be fun.

Off to Binghamton

Sheila gave me advice to improve my blog. I will try hard to put them into place.

Friday: I had a ton of stuff to do, and I finished my Senior audits. Friday night Cindy, Laura and Kerri came over before they went out dancing.

Saturday I got up and went to FedEx and Walmart for some supplies. I picked up Cindy, we grabbed her breakfast at McDonalds, and then we went back to my place and picked up Laura.

We left around 11 and got to Binghamton at 1:30. Molly and I went to Time Warner to pick up the wireless equipment, we got lost going back. We asked the Time Warner guy how to get back to Molly's road from there (we couldn't just backtrack). He gave us these awful directions that got us lost. We asked some locals but they could hardly speak a full sentence. So we asked some other people, but they couldn't tell left from right. Oi.

Sheila had gotten there with the pizza, I installed the wireless network, ate while I worked, got the girls' computers all set up, and then we all left back for Waterloo around 3:30. Cindy and Laura visited with Sheila for an hour and a half. I almost hit Molly on the road on the way back when some jerk slammed on his breaks in front of Molly.

We were just a tad late to the picnic, but we stayed for a couple hours and then headed to the Outlet Mall. We shopped for a bit, I got a pair of dress pants and we headed back to Rochacha. We hung out for awhile, but Laura left, Cindy left, but then Cindy and Kerri came back!

Stupid Drunks & God

So, last night when I was taking Cindy home, it was discovered that a drunk had rammed his minivan along side a bunch of cars on the road, then headed right into the cemetery, knocking down the gate, traveling a bit in the yard and then coming back and being stopped by the gate. It looked quite fun. I looked this morning during my run and the guy just left his minivan halfway through the fence. It's a good parking spot.

Anyway, work was blah. I went to the gym, but my knees ached so much I didn't stairclimb, but rather ellipticaled. I hid out for the rest of the day in my office working on stuff. I ran an audit on the new DARS.. a very good sign that we're within days of being done.

After work, I went to Taco Bell, got a fresco style soft taco, a million packets of mild sauce (for my fridge) and I got a soda (in my handle Taco Bell cup). I came back, ate my dinner, ate some rice, ate some ice cream and now I'm watching the Daily Show. Apparently, a Muslim man is marketing 'Mecca Cola' as an alternative Coke and Pepsi. It also comes with a label asking people not to add alcohol or products like bacon. Mmmmmm... bacon cola!

It's been a rough day ;). I'm not looking forward to next week, but I am looking forward to Saturday! Sometime we're heading to Binghamton to see Sheila and set up Molly's wireless network in her apartment. Sheila is making us lunch. Then we'll come back to Waterloo and we're having a picnic and birthday party for Aunt Deb. Both Laura and Cindy are invited, which is good, since both of them are moving in like a week. So we'll get to spend some time together before the end.

Breaking News: New reality show helps illegal immigrants get green cards...

Wow. It was on CNN this morning. This show, which is apparently a huge hit in the 4 cities it is shown in and has over a million weekly viewers, allows illegal immigrants in California fight (through eating disgusting stuff and doing dangerous stunts) for assistance in getting a green card. Which is funny, because being on the show reveals who they are to the government.

Anway, last night after work I got my 3 Netflix DVDs, I ripped them real quick and went to the post office and returned them. Cindy and I went to Golden Port after she had a much needed nap (she hasn't been sleeping well lately). I ordered some chinese broccoli with garlic and Cindy ordered 2 spring rolls, 2 fried pork rolls, Vietnamese iced coffee and curry chicken with peppers (she likes green peppers now).

We came back to my place, Cindy got some alcohol from the store and we watched Nick and Jessica. I fell asleep, woke up around 12:30, took her home. I had a bad stomach ache by that point.

By morning I wasn't feeling well at all. But I went for my run anyway. Got back, got real dizzy, ate, felt nauseous, and decided to call in sick for the morning.

I spent the rest of the morning just taking it easy. I ate lunch and now I'm getting ready to go to the gym and back to work this afternoon.

Ugh, my achy legs...

Tuesday's run was successful, I ran for 50 minutes. I went to work, worked out during lunch, dragged my achy legs around until I went home at 5. I ate dinner and went to Walmart to check out some prices. I looked at a surround sound system that looks promising and a couple DVD players. I also checked out the Tracfones. I bought a cat scratching post, some wet cat food and a rack for my plates.

Cindy called me, wanted to come eat some food at my place, so I picked her up, she ate and I returned her back to her dorm room. I bought a tracfone from their website and it looks like it'll be a great deal for the month that I'll be using it. I'll get 320 minutes plus a phone for $30. Then I can port my number back to Verizon.

Which brings up another point. I'm not sure why people think its so unusual that I want to keep my phone number. Every time I tell someone what I'm doing they look at me funny. Someone even said that its no big deal to change your number, she's done it 4 times in the last couple years. Well, it is a big deal to me. A ton of my accounts, doctors and whatever are all linked to one phone number. So I'm keeping my number, even if I have to jump through a couple hoops.

I couldn't fall asleep, but a little after midnight I was out.

Morning came too quickly. I got up at 7, went for a run and got ready for work. I was a little late to the full staff meeting, but nothing important was discussed anyway. Cindy stopped by and picked up some stuff I printed for her, she requested a transcript and we went to the post office and she mailed some stuff. She also went through 3 weeks worth of mail that had built up.

Anesa, Susan and I went to the gym at noon and we all did the stairclimber. I won the race. ;)

I printed some more stuff for Cindy that she needed for her transfer to LA and I went down to LAS and talked to Pam about the new website. So now I'm sitting here, my legs ache and I still have a ton of work to do. Arg. And I lost another $5. This is driving me nuts. I don't know where this money is going. I don't use cash! When I buy something, I use my debit card. I so happen to have money and its disappearing on me. Am I dropping it? Is someone taking it? So that's $15 I've lost since last week.

No bra shoppin' for me!

So Sunday was okay. I went to Brueggers, got a paper and ate a couple bagels. I came back to the 'part 'ment and clipped a bunch of coupons. Then I made a trek to Target (grrrrr) and returned a DVD I bought (I already owned it damnit). This time I was in the store for under 60 seconds, so it wasn't so bad. :)

I also stopped by a Rite Aide to buy some soda and deodorant that were both on sale (with coupon) and my luck, the one at 12 Corners was out of both. So I continued down Monroe and found a sketchy one on Goodman and got my stuff and left as quickly as possible.

Laura came over and hung out until we were all ready to leave for the picnic. I picked up Cindy, we got on the road and got to the picnic with a couple minutes to spare. Good food: chicken breasts, salads, beans and the like. It was nice. Grandma gave me $10, Deb gave me a memory board. Mom gave me hopes of a dinner in the future.

Sophie and Grace wanted to play hide and go seek, so Deb, Laura, Cindy and I played with them. Deb was 'it' and we ran around trying to get to the home base. Well, I don't know what was wrong with me but I became so winded that I gave up trying to run and let Deb tag me. Very embarrassing. I guess I'm really out of shape. Which is depressing.

We left and went and visited Molly (who worked through the picnic) at her hot dog stand in Waterloo. We visited for awhile, Laura and Cindy got hot dogs and we eventually got on the road around 8. Laura and Cindy left and the cat and I hung out for the rest of the evening.

Monday morning came and I decided I was going to try and start a good habit... every morning I'll go and run/walk through Mt. Hope cemetery at 7am for an hour. So that's what I did, and it was nice. I built up a nice sweat and I was extremely tired after I got done. Work was nice Monday.. no bosses. I even wore a t-shirt to work.. haha. I went to the gym at noon and decided to shake up my workout... so I did the stair climber for... 30 minutes! If you've ever done the stair climber at a high rate, you'll know 10 minutes is bad enough.

Jake and I have been emailing back and forth during the day and he's given me some fatherly advice about working out, so I'm going to try a couple items he suggested (which I knew, but I need someone to tell me). You're not working out unless you're pushing yourself. As soon as it becomes easy, you need to push harder. I'd love it if I was able to run run for an hour during the morning and then push again during lunch. If I can start losing weight again I'll be more than happy to continue this. I've even begun eating the way I used to eat: 3 square meals a day, 2000 calories. Oatmeal in the morning, plenty of food during the day and a full dinner.

We'll see how it works out in the next couple weeks. Laura leaves in a couple weeks and Cindy moves in, in a couple weeks. Hopefully I can continue my routine when Cindy moves in.

Monday night I ripped a couple DVDs I got in the mail, ate a full dinner, then headed to the post office to mail them back to Netflix. I also deposited Grandma's check in my bank and also stopped by Cingular to port my number. They closed at 7, so I missed them by 2 minutes. I guess it'll have to wait until today. Laura, Cindy and Kerri all went to the mall during this time and shopped for bras. Sounds like fun. ;)

I stopped by the Central Library, returned a DVD and tried to get 2 others. However, they're 'in transit' so I'm out of luck until they arrived in the next day or so. My PDA gets returned Tuesday, so I'm looking forward to that.

This morning, I woke up and it was raining, but I went for my run through the cemetery, however, the gates were closed. I had to run down Elmwood and go in the smaller gate. Too much work just to work out. :) Now I'm at work, and this day should be just as nice as yesterday.

Quiet Weekend

So last night was quiet. Cindy and Kerri went out dancing and drinking so I stayed in with Ashley. You know what? Late night TV isn't as fun without Cindy watching with me.

This morning I'm watching VH1 best month ever and a special about La Toya Jackson. I think its funny. All these shows on MTV and VH1 are showing the lives of celebrities, but all of them seem to go to the Kentucky Derby. What's with that? They all meet up there too.. and funny thing is.. Jessica Simpson is on each of these shows. Sheesh. We watched an episode of Anna Nicole and the same thing happened. She's a funny character, and her son is one screwed up guy.

You find out so much useless crap about famous people if you watch enough television. I think I'm going to Brueggers in a little bit. Cindy wants me to wake her up to go to the picnic, but I'm gonna let her sleep until this afternoon since the picnic is at 5, so we have to leave around 3:45 or so. Ugh, the Jackson family has had so much plastic surgery. La Toya was really hot until she had her nose done, and now she looks fake.

God I hate Target...

Friday night was fun! Oh, what do you mean I didn't do anything? After work I took Cindy and her deceased rat to the vet on Park Ave. Unfortunately, the vet closed at 5, so we were a bit out of luck. Her rat is starting to give off an odor, poor little thing, so she wants to get it cremated soon.

Linda, Michele, Cindy and I went to Dinosaur BBQ around 6. We arrived and to our wonderful surprise, we were seated right away. However, there was an hour wait, so we were very lucky to have surpassed it. We all had chicken and a couple of them had ribs too. I had a sandwhich with their macaroni and cheese and 'marshed' potatoes as Cindy put it. :) They were fantastic.

I dropped Cindy off at her dorm and came back and spent a quiet night with the cat watching Stargate on SciFi. Unfortunately, I kept falling asleep during the show so I missed a couple important scenes. Luckily, they repeat the same 2 episodes at the 10 and 11:00 hour, so I set the tape and went to bed.

I woke up this morning at 9:30. I think I had almost 11 hours of sleep. Who needs that much sleep? I got ready and went on a couple errands. First I headed off to the post office to mail a DVD back to Netflix (2 week free trial), I dropped by Staples and bought 25 blank DVDs for $20 and then headed to ESL, my bank, to cancel that new credit card I got through them. It turns out its a little different than they first described to me. And I don't need a credit card for a couple perks when I already have a credit card at 7.9%. After waiting 30 minutes, the lady looked at me weird when I asked to cancel it. "Um.. I've never actually had to cancel one of these..." Heh. Let me be the first lady.

Then I headed to Target to use my new gift card I got from Uno. (Thanks sooo much Cindy!) Target isn't my favorite store in the whole world (no offense to Laura or Uno who love the store), first because prices are higher than Walmart and second because their selection seems to be limited. So I searched the store front to back for their nice garbage cans (Cindy indicated I should get one since I need a nice one). Well, I found their plastic ones.. and they sucked. So I kept looking. On the other side of the store, like 15 aisles away, I found the metal garbage cans, and they were nice. They were also $100 or more each. Whooo! Yeah right.

So I looked through every section of the store for other possible things to buy with my gift card. Nope. How about... nope. Do they have... nope! Damnit! They don't have anything I want. So I looked some more, got really tired of looking and headed to Walmart to return an item there. They easily took that item back, but they refused to give me my money back for an item they double charged me for. They said I'd have to go back to Irondeqoit to return it. Ugh. I need to spend $2 in gas to get $1.99 refunded. Yeah right.

So I left Walmart and got gas and headed back home. I ate lunch and watched the taped Stargate from last night. Unfortunately, I kept falling asleep again.. so I had to keep rewinding. Sheesh, Luke. What is it with you and falling asleep? I went to the 2:30 showing of Chronicles of Riddick, which was a good movie. I didn't like how fast the imagry moved on screen. It stinks when you can't see what they're showing you. But I liked it, and saw a lot of the same qualities its prequel had.

After the movie I went back to Target to try and find something to buy. Believe it or not, I spent 2 hours there trying to find something. I finally decided I would buy items that I truly need rather than something 'gift like.' So I bought 2 new pillows, super-odor-killing kitty litter, febreez, a new DVD, blank DVD labels and some toilet paper. Over all, a great birthday present from Uno! Thanks Uno! :-) :-) :-)

So now I'm sitting in my apartment waiting for something to do. Tomorrow evening I'm heading to my grandmothers with Laura and Cindy for my birthday party, but until then I'm probably just going to do some serious cleaning around the apartment. Maybe I'll watch a couple of the DVDs I've reclaimed.

Hell Week

So Monday, we returned the rental car during lunch. Not exactly the most exciting lunch I've ever had, but Cindy bought me 2 double cheeseburgers and dropped me off at work. I had a bad meeting with the coworkers about the website just like on Friday but the evening was a bit better.

I got a ton of mail on Tuesday. 3 birthday cards, each with money in them, and my movie Outfoxed came today. Actually, they sent me 2 on accident! Woohoo!

Tuesday after work, I went and visited Laura. We went to Walmart to shop for food and stuff. Cindy told me not to buy any food, but I had coupons... so I bought a ton of food. I bought some cake mix and frosting for my birthday on Wednesday. Laura and I made a meatball sub dinner with salad and smoothies. We watched Trading Spouses, but Cindy called and I went and picked her up. We needed to do laundry and I had promised to pick her up around 8.

I went and got quarters from Movies 10 ($5 for me $5 for Cindy) and came back and did laundry. I dropped Cindy off, went to bed after folding up some clothes. Interesting, huh?

Wednesday was my birthday. My apartment was a mess. I had meant to clean it, but every time I planned for it, something else came up. Work was blah. However, I came in and someone had put a HAPPY BIRTHDAY sign over my office door and my non-co-workers threw me a party with pudding cake and a card. It was really nice of them. The folks upstairs didn't really even notice.

After work I went and bought 3 movie tickets from the cashier's office, I made cupcakes and frosted them and Laura came over and we went to the Post Office and finally mailed Cindy's book that she left here. We headed to Tinseltown and met up with Jake and watched Spiderman 2, which was a great movie. Gave me chills several times. After, we cameback to my place. We picked up Cindy and I invited Kerri over to hang out. I went to pick up Linda, but she called and said she didn't want to come. The cat had walked all over all the cupcakes (luckily, I covered them with papertowels). If I didn't like her so much, I'd kill her!

I went back to the forbidden Hess, got some soda and gas, and went home to hang out with everyone. We had some cupcakes, ice cream and I opened my present from Laura. Wow.. she got me this huge dinnerware set.. plates, dishes, cups and bowls. She also got me some glass cups. They're all so fantastic.. Laura eventually left and we went over to the Distillery and got Jake some food. Cindy and Kerri went to McDonalds and got some food. She got me a double cheeseburger.. sometimes something so little makes ya happy.

Kerri and Cindy left and Jake stayed over that night. I had to get up at 5 to take Linda to the airport on Thursday. She went and had a job interview in Washington DC to do the same thing Luke Osborne does. I came back and woke Jake up at 7 so he could go to work. Then I woke up at 8 and went to work, albeit very tired. Jake forgot his cell phone, so it looks like I'm babysitting this weekend for it.

Thursday was also blah.. but fortunately, I'm done with this damn website! No more dribble over it anymore. Went to the gym during lunch (early lunch). After work I went to Verizon Wireless, Cingular Wireless and BJs. I used up a gift card that Mary Joan and Frank gave me for my birthday. I'm also looking into porting my Verizon cell number to Cingular and then porting right back to Verizon. I need to call about that.

Cindy came over after I got back and she wrote one of her papers while I cleaned the apartment. She stayed over (but stayed awake all night) while I slept. Now I'm sitting at work, contemplating all the work I should be doing. I'm waiting on several people to get back to me, plus someone brought in really tasty bagels today.

Tonight Cindy and I are going to Greece to eat Chinese and maybe a movie after. What's bugging me is I seem to have lost $10 from between Tuesday and today. and its driving me insane trying to figure it out.

Friday, Saturday & Sunday

Friday I woke up, tip toeing around so I didn't wake up either of the Cindy's. Went to work, got chewed out for stupid little stuff, had a bad morning, but Cindy and Cindy picked me up from work, we went and rented a car for Dos for her trip to Phily. I had to rent it since Cindy doesn't have a credit card. So the car is in my name. I told Cindy I'd feel more comfortable if she took my car and I took the rental this weekend, just so if something happens, the car(s) are covered by insurance.

They drop me off and they head to Golden Port. I continue to work on the website. Cindy and Cindy bring me some leftovers (which were fantastic, even cold) and I finish my day in a grumpy mood.

I get home and Cindy V. is gone. So sad, I missed her the entire weekend. Laura and Cindy get there and Linda comes over. We're all going to Raging Burrito for dinner (we's got's coupons!). Kerri comes over, a bit late, and Linda tells us in the car she has to go at 7, which was like 10 minutes from then.

We sit down, order our food, our waitress takes forever to do anything (I'm so impatient with people whose jobs are to serve me) and we eventually get our food. We eat, we have a great time and the waitress takes the coupon and takes the discount on the cheapest burrito any of us got (rather than a previous GOOD waitress that discounts the $8 burrito). Oh well. :)

We go back to my place, hang out and then go and head to the movies. On the way, we stopped to get snacks at the Hess gas station next to my apartment and I got 2 bottles of soda. 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' Good movie.. kinda weird.. but good. I realized during the movie that the lady at the gas station never gave me my change for the soda.. I gave her a $5 bill and she gave me 12 cents back or whatever. After the movie, Laura heads home and Kerri, Cindy and I head back to my place.

I stop at the Hess, go in and politely explain that I was in a couple hours earlier and that I didn't get the correct change. The lady said that I'd have to wait until 3am to get my change, since that's when they close down the register. I said sure... I'd give her my name and phone and tomorrow I can come back and get my $3. Then she said she remembers clearly.. CLEARLY giving me my change. I told her I didn't get my change, but that I would wait until tomorrow to know for sure. If they are $3 over, then it's my money. If they're not $3 over, then no harm done. She then called me a liar and said I was making a big deal over only $3. I told her that $3 is a big deal to me because its my money and that I would wait until tomorrow, she didn't need to yell at me. It was no big deal. She then said she was a mother of 4 and her entire paycheck goes to bills and only has $20 left at the end of the week, so I shouldn't tell HER about $3. I lied and said I was a college student and $3 was a big deal to me. She then said if I was really a college student, then she'd remember ME. She then said I wasn't welcome at this Hess station ever again (all the while, she was slipping $3 under the window to me). I said thank you and started for the door. She then yelled SEVEN YEARS BUDDY. I turned, walked out the door and she came on the intercom for the building outside and screamed SEVEN YEARS.

Holy good god mother of china..! I got in the car, frazzled (over $3) and we went back to my place. Kerri left, Cindy A. and I hung out, watched raunchy tv and went to bed. I didn't have a good day, as you can see.

Saturday we got up, went to breakfast at Jay's diner after I ran some errands (I mailed my PDA to get it fixed, shopped for some things and went to Dollar General). They had sugarfree syrup, my favorite. Cindy got some french toast (I stole a delicious piece). Laura came over and wrapped up the wedding gift, I got ready and we left to head to Kristen and Wil's wedding around 12:45. After a long two hour drive (and me driving 80) we got there just in time to be seated in the 6th row. Wedding started, lasted forever, and then let out. We waited a long time to throw flowers on Kristen & Will, but it ended up not working out. We got tired of being rained on, so we headed to the country club for the reception.

Found it, went in, and started eating cheeses, drank at the open wine, beer and soda bar (awesome) and awaited the bride & groom. We visited with the people at our table (and secretly hoped that Mr. 7th seat wasn't going to show so Cindy could sit with us with no issues). He never showed! Salads came out, then the main courses. Either beef, chicken or pasta. The waitress was really confused, since nobody at our table ordered beef, but she said 4 people did. Oops. But she finally brought the right food, Cindy had chicken, I had pasta, Laura had beef. We got some Italian cookies, finished our dinners, Laura got tipsey (hehe) and the dancing started.

We danced for a good 4-5 hours. It was so much fun. I sweated like an animal, but it was good fun, plus I felt I was burning off the food I was eating. We left the party around 11 and I drove for 2 hours very tired and with two sleeping people in my vehicle. Finally, I saw Rochester, and we settled into the apartment for a good night's sleep. I think I hit the bed already asleep.

Laura and I woke up and headed to Brueggers for breakfast. Cindy got ready for the day. Today was the last day, Sunday, she was gonna be there so we planned to do a couple fun things. We went to a neat store on Park Ave called Park Leigh (or something), tried to shop on Monroe unsuccessfully, but then headed to Unos in Henrietta for lunch. We had a great meal, Laura and I split a small pizza and I had a salad. Cindy A got some chili and a burger. We took pictures, laughed, caught up on good times, and headed out to the lake for the final 2 hours.

We got up to Charlotte Beach, walked around, walked out on the pier, and then got some ice cream. A weird old hairy guy was skating in a speedo. He kept going past us. Ick. We headed back to my place, Laura went home and I took Cindy (minus Cindy's Michael Moore book) to the airport. I hugged her, told her I'd miss her (I will!) and sent her on her way.

I went back to my messy apartment (I had 3 people over this weekend) and relaxed. I was not looking forward to getting back to the grind at work. :( I got nervous since Cindy wasn't home and it was 9:30. I called Kim with no answer. But Cindy got home at 10pm and Uno was back home too. Cindy and I hung out, talked about our weekends (her weekend was a bit more of a downer) and eventually went to bed around 1 or 2. I think she stayed up though.

A long weekend for sure, but I had a ton of fun with all of my friends. I don't know what I'm going to do without then come September. :(

A Couple Days Catch Up

So I don't remember Wednesday. Forgive me.

Thursday was blah as blah can be, I had a bad day. I went to a meeting at the Town House for a couple hours and the people I was meeting were not only out of the loop about what they were doing but huffy because they felt they were doing more than they were supposed to be doing. I explained that when you volunteer to do something, you do it. However, I think they'll no longer be volunteering.

My female boss got extremely upset over the website I created for her due to the many grammatical errors in the site. Since it was a collaborative effort and 90% of the content was coming from the old site (which was online for 5 years) and since we have at least a week before we deploy the new site to the web, I didn't feel it necessary to check everyone's spelling. What turned from her reviewing the site and giving me feedback turned into her writing me an email titled "major problems" and telling me I would have all of her edits in my mailbox tomorrow.

I got stressed, so I went and scraped up $1.25 to get a diet coke, I even had to borrow a quarter. So I went to the vending machine and they were sold out of diet coke. So I went to another one: sold out. So I pushed the "Diet Coke w/Lemon" and a mellow yellow came out. Ugh!

Disgusted (and in desperate need of a pick me up) I went and got a refund for the soda from the ID office and came back and got a diet coke out of a machine I could actually see the soda.

I came home and worked hard to get my wireless router working again. Apparently a night of downloading a couple episodes of Stargate has made my router break. After 3.5 hours, I found out that my router no longer will encrypt my wireless packets and still give me an IP addy that works. So I turned off encryption, turned on restriction and poof, it's working again.

I just have to be careful what I write on the network now since someone outside could be reading ;).

Cindy Vaca came over at 10 to give me food and go to the airport with me. Cindy Allen's plane was coming in at 10:30, but she called and said they were delayed. I checked the website and it said 10:45, which is fine. I checked it 5 minutes later and it said 10:50. Hmm. I checked it again at 10:30 and it said 11:30. For god's sake!

But we picked her up finally. She's lost a bunch of weight, looks really nice and even streaked her hair! We came back, I went to bed at 1, but Cindy and Cindy stayed up until 5 and visited.

I'll write more about the weekend later.
